The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully blown two satellites under the SPADEX mission. This has paved the route of India in the field of space.
Earlier, ISRO postponed the docking effort for its Space Docking Experiment (Spadex) after detecting excessive drift between two space satellites.
Earlier, ISRO launched the Space Docking Experiment (Spadex) from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Center i.e. Shar, at 10 pm on 30 December 2024. The success of the mission paved the way for the establishment of the Indian Space Center and the human space mission like Chandrayaan-4.
What is Spadex Mission?
There are two satellites in this mission. The first chase and the second target. Cherr will hold the satellite target. Will do docking with him. Apart from this, there may be an important test in it. A robotic arm has come out of the satellite, which will pull the target towards itself through a hook. This target can be different cubesat.
With this experiment, ISRO will get the technique to bring back the orbit in different directions in the future. Also, the option of servicing and refueling in the orbit will also open. The SPADEX mission will be shown by adding two different spacecrafts to the space.
India becomes the fourth country in the world
ISRO said that this technique is necessary when many rocket launch is required to fulfill the objectives of the same mission. If this mission is successful, then India will become the fourth country in the world, which has achieved this technology. Till now, America, China and Russia have this technology.
