DCP Trans Hindon, Nimish Patil said, ‘Krishna Shekhar Rana had taken advantage of VIP protocol by becoming fake high commissioners in many cities. He had placed a diplomatic number plate and Oman flag on his car, so that the authorities could be misled.
According to the police, accused Dr. Krishna Shekhar Rana was associated with an NGO named IGTC (India GCC Trade Council), where he was given the post of Trade Commissioner. But in the process of getting a diplomatic protocol, accused Krishna Shekhar Rana, police and administration officials started cheating and fake. The accused has taken the police protocol and government facilities in Mathura in UP and Faridabad in Haryana.
‘Accused confessed crime’
According to the police, the accused has been arrested from Kaushambi area of ​​Ghaziabad. At present, the accused was living in Delhi Lajpat Nagar. During interrogation, he confessed that he is associated with an NGO working to increase business from Oman, in whose name he was cheating himself by calling himself a high commissioner.

The accused has been a professor at Agra University from 1982 to 2015 and has also been Vice Chancellor in many universities. The accused has his own college of science and technology in Agra.
