This bowler is a poem Bhil (13) of a small village like Khedela in Badnore, Beawar. Who shows the same amazing in every match with his deadly bowling. The poem bowls like Australian Pesar Mitchell Starc. The opposing team defeats the drums of its swing. It takes a competition to take him in his team.
Her coach Manoj Sunaria is carving her coach Manoj Sunaria. Leaving jobs abroad and lives in the village. Goats go to graze in the morning and reach the ground with poetry as soon as the school is over. We reached their village to know the story of the passion and struggle of the poem …
Holding ball three years ago, bowled 4 in the first match
In 2022, Manoj Sunaria Senior Class (10th-12th) girls were practicing cricket at government school in Khedela village. Then Kavita, studying in 5th grade, told Manoj that she also has to play. At this he ball the poem to put an over.
Kavita Bhil showing her bowling skills in the field of Khedela government school.
Kavita held the ball for the first time. Some distance away from the wicket and ran and put the first ball with high arm action. The player playing in front did not expect that the junior girl would put such a fast ball. By the time she could read the ball, her wickets had flew away. Coach Manoj first felt that it was a rhythm. But, after this, Kavita bowled three girls in the next three more balls.
Then Manoj realized that there is a lot of talent in the poem. If the right direction is found, then it can illuminate the name of the entire Rajasthan. From then on, Manoj started explaining the nuances of cricket to Kavita.
100 km/hp, Mitchell Starc with action
Coach Manoj said that after 3 years of practice, today the poem bowls at a speed of 100 km per hour. We have no proof of this, because never got a chance to measure on the speedometer. However, inspectors coming to various state level tournaments have guessed this by seeing his speed.
Kavita’s bowling action is compared to Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc.
The 15-step run-up and high arm action is like Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Kavita got her long hair cut for bowling. While bowling, Kavita’s head lived down instead of staying in front of them, due to which her rhythm did not know.
In three years, he has done a lot of work on his action, run-up and line-length. She collapses the team in front of her deadly bowling in every match. In the local tournament, Kavita has taken 5 wickets 2 times. She has been a player of the match at the district level several times.
Coach Manoj Sunaria teaches Kavita the nuances of bowling.
Jaspreet Bumrah’s bowling first choice
Kavita likes Indian fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah the most. Kavita says that the style of celebrating Bumrah after taking action and wickets is very spectacular. However, she wants to make herself identity with her bowling. For this, she practice several hours daily.
Kavita said that her shoes have been torn by practice in the rocky ground, which she is using again by stitches.
Practice net
There is only one ground in a government school to play in the village. He is also full of pebbles and stones. The poem is often injured during bowling. Being pebble, there is difficulty in maintaining line and length.
The leather ball of 400 rupees is not able to run even 5 days. The shoes are worn from the bottom. Poetry is practicing daily with the help of these torn shoes. When he put an over for us, he did not say that he was hurt by stones in his right toes. She smiled and continued to ball for 10 minutes.
Kavita has prepared this net itself by adding old pieces. She has a raw house behind where she lives.
A friend of coach Manoj had given some pieces of the net, adding which Kavita prepared a big net at her house. Poetry in the same net practice to ball daily. Seeing the hard work, the Tehsildar of Badnore gave a bat-ball and clothes.
Simran wants to change like Sheikh
In 2023, Rajasthan Royals had a tournament organizing in Bhilwara district. The Khedela team was final in 10 teams there. For the next round of matches, Kavita went to play Jaipur with her team. Where he did the feat to take 5 wickets twice in two matches. In Beawar, Kavita also played with a team with boys and took 8 wickets in 6 matches.
Kavita said that she wants to change her luck like Simran Sheikh of Gujarat giant. This year, in WPL, Gujarat giants included Simran Sheikh in their team for Rs 1.9 crore in the auction.
Goats graze by 1 pm, get practiced in the evening
Manoj told that he used to work in Kuwait earlier. Returned to India in 2020. Worked in Ahmedabad and Haryana, but did not mind. Wanted to become a cricketer himself, even played the district level, but could not take training due to economic compulsions.
The same dream decided to fulfill the girls by giving training. He came to the village and started teaching cricket to school girls in 2022. I am working as a coach in a school in a monthly. From 10 am to 1 pm, I go to the mountains and forests grazing goats. After school time, I teach children 3-4 hours of cricket.
Manoj told that whatever he earns, he spends it on the coaching of the girls. The diet of Kavita, the fees of playing tournaments and the cost of cricket goods are spent the same.
Father dig wells, it was not easy to celebrate the family members
Kavita’s father Harilal Bhil and elder brother work to dig well. When the Bhaskar team reached Kavita’s house, it was found that both had gone to Gujarat. There is some land behind the house, in which grains grow for food. The younger brother works at the shop. Mother Meera Devi handles domestic work.
It was not easy for a girl to play cricket, haircut, to celebrate the family for this. Kavita’s cricket hobby was initially rejected by the family members. Coach Manoj continuously explained. Told that she needs 10 years to enhance Kavita’s sports talent. Till then you will neither stop studying, nor will you marry it. The family agreed after a lot of difficulty.
The team encourages her on every good performance of Kavita. There is a competition to include Kavita in her team in the tournament.
Distance from fast food, desi diet and food paan stamina
Coach Manoj says that he is currently undergoing training with 15 girls from the village. All girls have been given strict instructions to stay away from fast food, Golgappa, sour-sweet and fried. Sprouted gram-moong in the morning to make stamina. In lunch, she takes curd and curd. Desi eats tide, bajri and vegetables, bread. She takes milk and light food at night.
