Telangana government’s decision: 1 hour discount to employees in Ramadan, BJP objected

The Telangana government has decided to give 1 hour exemption to Muslim employees during Ramadan. This exemption will be applicable from 2 March to 31 March. Government departments and education sector employees have been allowed to leave the office at 4 pm instead of 5 pm. The BJP has opposed this decision and termed it as a Muslim appeasement. BJP says that such facilities are not provided on Hindu festivals. This issue has become the subject of new political debate in Telangana.
