Western disturbances will be active in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan in the next two days. Skymet said that alert for rain and snowfall has been issued between 18 and 20 February in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. During this time, there will be a drop in temperature, which can create a situation like cold day. There is a possibility of only cloudy and strong winds in Uttarakhand.

Delhi-NCR likely to rain

The maximum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius in the capital Delhi on Monday (17 February), which is 4.5 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was 11 degrees Celsius. Light drizzle may occur in the surrounding areas including South Delhi between 18 and 20 February. Apart from this, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 294 in Delhi-NCR, which falls in the “poor” category.

Signs of weather change in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

Due to the effect of western disturbance in Uttar Pradesh, light to moderate rain may occur in the next two days. Rain is forecast in many districts including Moradabad, Bareilly, Meerut, Bijnor, Ghaziabad, Noida and Saharanpur. At the same time, the temperature in Bihar is steadily increasing, but the temperature may fall due to the effect of rain and snowfall in the hilly areas. There is a possibility of fog in Gaya, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur in the morning.

The condition of South India and Northeast States

Heat outbreak continues in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The temperature is being recorded higher than normal in these states, due to which the heat like March is feeling. On the other hand, in view of the scorching heat in Kerala, a warning of heat and “sunburn” has been issued. At the same time, due to cyclonic circulation in the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Sikkim, there is a possibility of heavy rains and thunderstorms.

How will the weather be in Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh?

The effect of western disturbance will be seen in Rajasthan from 18 to 20 February. There is a possibility of light rain in Jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Bharatpur. During this time, a drop in temperature can be recorded. Himachal Pradesh is expected to have snowfall in high altitude areas including Kullu, Manali, Rohtang and Atal Tunnel on February 18. The minimum temperature has been recorded below zero at many places.
